Hail Storm in Colorado Springs 2015

A hard hail storm hit Colorado Springs area damaging homes and vehicles as a severe thunderstorm watch was issued for all of southeastern Colorado Reports of golf sized hail balls piled up between 3 inches and 8 inches high. Vehicles fell victim to the hail and waters created by the storm Dents in vehicles reflected their estimates.


Kevin Torres of Fox in Denver reports drivers stranded on I-25, traffic slowing down and some vehicles even being "dead in the water". Until eventually the storm moved out.
KRDO Chris Loveless reports "Storm drops buckets of hail on Colorado Springs' north side" and traffic on major major roadways including Academy Blvd., Powers Blvd., Woodmen Rd., and Briargate Pkwy the hail storm "buried a wide swath of the city, snarling traffic".


The Gazette Telegraph stated "Persistent hail pummeled northern Colorado Springs and El Paso County Thursday, bringing highway and street traffic to a standstill and clogging drainage systems across the region."
